Family Home Evening

The kids decorated pumpkins for their dad. They wrote messages on the back of the pumpkins to take to his grave. This year Lizzy was a U of U cheerleader and Ben and U of U football player for their dad. We miss him so much!

We left Steve's favorite candy (Reese's peanut butter cup) with the pumpkins. We all got in the car to go home and Ben had a different idea. He got out took the candy and ran. He said, "Dad can't eat it anyway."

Ben caught in action!

Cindy and kids, you guys are so awesome to take Steve some Halloween cheer. I didn't know that Reese's were his favorite but it makes sense because he LOVED peanut butter. I remember him coming to grandma's and making a peanut butter sandwich and a big glass of milk, he liked to make them open face. That memory makes me smile and cry, well most of the memories of Steve make me smile and cry. Hopefully one day I will just smile. Love you all! Les

I'm sure Steve is smiling! It's interesting, because that's what they do in Mexico. Dia de Muertos is Nov 2 and it's kind of their Halloween. They decorate the graves of their deceased loved ones and leave their favorite food on their grave. It's quite a tradition!
