Ben was one of the lucky 7th graders to make the Mueller Park Junior High School Basketball team. He loved playing JV, and supporting the Varsity team. No 7th graders played Varsity. However, during a very exciting game against South Davis Junior High a Varsity player was injured and fouled, and the coach was asked to pick someone off the bench to shoot the free-throw for him. Ben was surprised and honored when he was asked to shoot. It was a clutch situation, but he was able to put down a basket for the Varsity team. Go Ben!
